Job Title Project Coordinator
Nature of Work

The Project Coordinator is a member of the Admissions Department. Responsibility includes a variety of professional and administrative duties in support of the day to day operations of a function, program, and/or department. Assists in program planning and development; interprets, monitors, and analyzes information regarding operating policies and procedures. Manages demand for Campus Community and departmental projects within the multiple software platforms that are used within Admissions and Student Services.

Examples of Work Performed

Project Coordinator Essential Duties:

1. Develop, organize and administer department and Campus Community (one of the five modules in the NeSIS PeopleSoft system) projects in cooperation with and under the direction of the Assistant Director.
2. Act as PeopleSoft Campus Community component administrator for the Admissions Department. The Coordinator will act as primary Campus Community lead for Admissions as well as assist all NeSIS Team Functional leads in their Campus Community future technological needs.
a. Develop, maintain, and assist admissions and NESIS Functional Lead component owners with mass communication within PeopleSoft Communication Generation. (ComGen is a component within the Campus Community module.)
b. Organize manual and automatic Checklists (3C Engine) maintenance and development for the Admissions department and assist other NESIS Functional Lead component owners with building and maintaining cross-functional checklists. (Checklists is a component within the Campus Community module.)
c. Develop, manage and maintain Comments within the Admissions department as well as assist other NESIS Functional Lead component with processing efficiencies, communication and reporting. (Comments is a module within the Campus Community module.)
3. Assist the institution with the creation, maintenance, and monitoring of those populations of applications and people records that are not created through the typical channels. (People Records and Campus Community Applications)
4. Administer query and reporting functions of the assigned systems. Understand the basic concepts of selecting data, designing simple and complex queries, and sending query results to other reporting tools.
5. Analyze and evaluate on a continual bases processes within Campus Community to plan growth and efficiency opportunities.
6. Act as primary SharePoint Administrator for the Admissions department.
7. Research, evaluate, and address complex duplicate NUID issues as member of the NeSIS NE-Trust Registry group as well as assist with the management of NUID creation, maintenance, testing.
8. Maintain and participate in the membership of NeSIS Campus Community Users Group as well as the CSC NeSIS Team Leads group.
9. Support Assistant Director of Admissions as secondary liaison within Chadron State College and NeSIS for PeopleSoft, Campus Solutions to analyze, test, resolve, and prioritize problems, solutions and future Admissions component growth.
10. Assist the Assistant Director of Admissions with the maintenance and progression of the Online Admissions Application (OAA) that resides within the PeopleSoft Admissions module.
11. Act as backup for Coordinator of Admission Services positions where necessary.
12. Assist on an as needed basis with support and aid of the CSC call center via phone or chat correspondence.
13. Maintain and monitor individual and department emails as assigned.
14. Assist with the web content management of the department.

Secondary Duties:
1. Assist prospective students, agents, parents and high school counselors, scheduled and unscheduled visitors via phone, email, chat and through written correspondence.
2. Educate student regarding use of their MyCSC account for 24/7 self-service
3. Participate and assist with on campus registration and NSO events
4. Participate on cross-functional and student services committees as delegated/nominated
5. Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

Associates degree or equivalent work experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Proven experience with technology and applicable software applications
Project Management experience
Higher education experience
Must possess excellent customer service, computer, and organizational skills
High level of self-motivation
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, professional demeanor
Demonstrate good judgment

Physical Demands

The physical requirements for this position may include, but are not necessarily limited to, the ability to use a computer, calculator, telephone, keyboard, and/or various types of office equipment.  Must be able to effectively communicate in verbal and written formats and satisfactorily perform the functions of this position.
