Job Title Assistant Director - Admissions
Nature of Work

The Assistant Director is responsible for managing and implementing operational standards for application flow and processing. This position provides specialized and advanced assistance with all aspects of NeSIS; supervision of Coordinators of Admissions Services, Academic Credential Technician, and Project Coordinator.

Examples of Work Performed

1. Define configuration specifications and business analysis requirements in regards to admissions and campus community business process’.
a. Manage day-to-day operations of application flow and ensure workflow is processed in a timely manner; constant attention to finding ways to improve monitoring, the discovery of issues and deliver better value to the students.
b. Define reporting and alerting requirements
2. Supervise, train and mentor Coordinators of Admissions Services and Academic Credential Technician
a. Document any identified required changes, and communicate them to admissions staff, cross-functional colleagues or third parties.
b. New system implementation and training for staff.
3. Act as a primary liaison with other departments both within Chadron State College and NeSIS for PeopleSoft, Campus Solutions, ImageNow and future institution-wide technology to analyze, test, resolve, and prioritize problems/solutions.
a. Use IT resources and current software at an advanced level to create IT solutions, enabling the institution to better meet goals.
4. Creation and maintenance of Admissions application process manual.
5. Primary contact within Admissions department for all cross-functional teams within PeopleSoft student database operations.
6. Serve as primary liaison to NeSIS.
7. Act as team lead for NeSIS PeopleSoft Admissions and assist/oversee Campus Community components.
a. Help design, document and maintain system processes
b. Perform quality assurance testing and monitoring
8. Assist Admission Director and other directors in process problem solving and changes. Consult on change impact and follow up.
a. Advise senior management and report on common sources of technical, processing, or cross-functional issues or questions and make recommendations.
9. Coordinate with other staff to plan and conduct student registration and orientation activities
10. NUID Registry Management – Coordinate with all of the NeSIS campuses to identify, resolve, and process any duplicate NUID records.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in college admissions preferred
Project Management preferred
Database development preferred
Must possess excellent customer service, computer and organizational skills
A helpful, professional demeanor both on the phone and in person
High level of motivation
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Good judgment

Physical Demands

The physical requirements for this position may include, but are not necessarily limited to, the ability to use a computer, calculator, telephone, keyboard, and/or various types of office equipment.  Must be able to effectively communicate in verbal and written formats and satisfactorily perform the functions of this position.

Salary Information $44,100 commensurate with qualifications. Excellent benefits package.
