Job Title Graduate Assistant (IT Support)
Nature of Work

Graduate Assistants are hired at Chadron State College to assist in meeting the vision and goals established for CSC. Strategic deployment of graduate assistant positions is essential to ensure that limited resources are utilized in a manner consistent with the philosophy of CSC. Graduate assistants provide experiential learning in select areas and to assist the individual in a successful transition to future educational and professional opportunities.

Examples of Work Performed

Prepare and publish reports, including the monthly TLC utilization report
Respond to general TLC inquiries via phone, email or walk-ins
Assist with the TLC ticket tracking process, and escalate technical or instructional support requests to TLC staff as necessary
Assist with managing the TLC blog, including basic WordPress administration
Assist with scheduling events and setting up rooms
Assist with organizing and updating SharePoint site(s)
Assist with managing the TLC equipment and book collections, including checking out items
Other duties as assigned by the AVPTLT

Required Qualifications

Completed Bachelor’s degree
Conditionally accepted or accepted application to CSC graduate program
Successful background records check
Work on the Chadron State College main campus

Preferred Qualifications

Understanding of Technology
Software (Microsoft Office, Adobe)
WordPress administration
Ticketing workflows
Basic web markup (HTML)
Time-management and organizational
Written and verbal communication
Clerical skills (filing, reporting)

Physical Demands
Salary Information $3,200 per semester and tuition waiver - does not include student fees
