Job Title Project Coordinator
Nature of Work

The Tutorial Services Counselor is responsible for coordinating the Learning Center services. Peer tutors and SI Leaders are selected, trained and supervised. Students, facilities and tutoring aids, such as textbooks and technological and social media are scheduled. Student progress reports are maintained. The Tutorial Services Counselor serves as a liaison with Chadron State College, especially with the teaching faculty, and works closely with other staff members to insure that each student receives appropriate assistance. Additional services that were not anticipated are constructed and conducted. Program end of semester reports are generated and reported to the Supervisor. The Tutorial Services Counselor is also responsible for maintaining student payroll records and preparing monthly budget reports.

Essential Duties:
1. Coordination of Tutoring Services
a. Assisting in student needs assessments
b. Documentation of all services
c. Selecting tutors/SI Leaders
d. Training tutors/SI Leaders
e. Supervising tutors/SI Leaders
f. Evaluating tutors/SI Leaders
g. Scheduling tutors/SI Leaders
h. Scheduling facilities
i. Budgeting
j. Payroll
k. Generating data for reports
l. Advising students
2. TRIO Program Services
a. Supervise and coordinate group and individual tutoring for all TRIO participants
b. Conduct student success workshops and other retention programming activities for TRIO participants, including coordination of Back on Track
3. Act as content manager for assigned websites.

Secondary Duties:
1. Conducting additional services not anticipated
2. Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

Associate’s degree or work related experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree
Experience working with at-risk students and/or federal programs for the disadvantaged

Physical Demands

The physical requirements for this position may include, but are not necessarily limited to, the ability to use a computer, calculator, telephone, keyboard, and/or various types of office equipment.  Must be able to effectively communicate in verbal and written formats and satisfactorily perform the functions of this position.

Salary Information $34,500 - $43,125 commensurate with qualifications.
